My journey with upholstery began when I couldn’t find anyone local to upholster my own pieces, so I decided to do it myself. I even helped a few friends recover their chairs, but I never thought of turning it into a full-time business. However, I have always enjoyed taking on challenges and learning new techniques, so I kept pursuing it as a hobby. Eventually, in March 2020, I decided to turn my passion into a business and started Barb’s Upholstery.
What I enjoy the most about upholstery is the opportunity to learn and experiment with new techniques and methods. Even if I have never done a certain type of project before, I am always eager to figure it out and expand my skills. Although I mainly work with home furnishings right now, I am excited to branch out into automotive and boat upholstery in the future.
